READ - Matthew 25: 1-13
INTRODUCTION
To be Proactive means to create or control a situation rather than just responding to it after it has happened. On the other hand, to be Reactive means to act in response to a situation rather than creating or controlling it.
If you follow the Bible Passage carefully, you will notice the differences that exist between the two categories of virgins and as well what they both have in common despite the fact they both got invited to be brides.
Reactive People‘s decisions in life are always triggered by desires, feelings, circumstances, conditions, and their environment. A very good example of such person in the Bible was Samson in Judges 16:6-20. When they are faced with a situation, they resolve to quick-fix option which might impair their right judgement.
Proactive Persons are those who are not limited by circumstances surrounding them. They are not bound by limitation or the magnitude of adversities.
Do you know WHY?
Because God is their Father who makes the impossible possible and shares His Wisdom through His word (Genesis 1:1-2:25).
They know God’s plan for them (Proverbs 19:21), so it becomes difficult to rush into doing things outside God’s plan for their life.
They are problem solvers, and they aren’t dependents on others to fix things for them (Acts 20:35)
They are obedient to the core (Proverbs 13:1)
They create opportunities for others to become self sufficient (1 Thessalonians 4:11)
They show willingness to be learn and be corrected (Proverbs 12:1)
They exhibit their God given gift (1 Peter 4:10)
CONCLUSION
What are you finding difficult to accomplish? Do you think you’ve come to the end of the road and there are no good options? If you feel trapped, remember this saying, “There is light at the end of a tunnel.”
Start becoming the change you want to see in your life. He who created you, made you a creator like Him. Jesus gave you a consolation prize when He said in John 14:12,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Please, feel free to share your thoughts and concerns. We are always available to pray with you.
